Using Whichly means accepting what follows. It is short because a site with no accounts, no payments and no uploads has little to govern.

Your files and your output stay yours

We claim no rights over anything you process here, and could not exercise them if we did — your files are never transmitted to us. Whatever a tool produces is yours to use for any purpose, personal or commercial, with no attribution required.

Use of the site

The tools are free to use, including at work. Do not use them to process material you have no right to, and do not attempt to disrupt the site for other people. Automated scraping of the pages is not welcome; the tools themselves are client-side, so if you want to run this kind of processing in bulk, the underlying open-source libraries are named on the credits page and you can use them directly.

No warranty, and where that actually matters

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Free software written by one person will sometimes be wrong, and we do not accept liability for loss arising from using it.

That abstraction has concrete cases worth naming. Keep your original file until you have checked the output — a converted or compressed document should be opened and looked at, not assumed. Passport photo specifications are quoted from government sources with the date they were checked, but requirements change and the authority accepting your application, not this site, decides whether a photo passes. Recognised text from a scan will contain errors and needs proofreading before it is relied on. A drawn signature on a PDF is not a qualified electronic signature and carries none of its legal guarantees. Health and finance calculators produce a number, not advice.

Third-party content

Pages may carry advertising and affiliate links, disclosed in the privacy policy and the affiliate disclosure. We do not control advertisers or the sites they lead to, and linking to something is not an endorsement of it.
